Village Naturals Therapy Muscle Relief Lotion

We've received tons on inquiries about our Village Naturals Therapy Muscle Relief Lotion. The sad truth is that it's been discontinued. However, due to popular demand, we are going to run one last batch. A limited quantity of product will be available on Amazon.com ONLY around the last week of October.

Check back in the next few weeks for updates!

  1. why would you discontinue such a sought after product?

  2. We had to discontinue the products for distribution reasons. When there are no retailers carrying the item, it is extremely difficult for us to produce at sell at reasonable prices.

If the last run sells through quickly on Amazon, we may see that there is still a high demand for it. In this case, there may be the option to just sell it online. However, as of right now, it is still discontinued.

  3. I work overnight at Walmart stocking shelves -it was a life saver! I recommended it everyone requesting muscle relief. Had a bottle in everyroom in my house.

Just know if I get to Amazon first - I'm buying the whole batch!!

Just to let you know - I love your products. Have replaced this product with the bath gel but still like the lotion better. All my children and myself keep your allergy bath beads in the bathroom - works wonderfully at the first sign of congestion. So glad I found your products!

  4. I just wrote this on your facebook page, but I thought I'd post it here as well...

I have to also tell you that I am VERY UPSET that I will no longer be able to find your Muscle Relief Lotion anywhere. I actually was introduced to your product from a friend that had the lotion because I was DESPERATE for some cooling relief. You see, I have a liver condition that causes EXTREMEMLY ITCHY skin that is IMPOSSIBLE to explain to someone who has never experienced the level of itch associated with it. There were times that I itched SO BAD that I wanted to scratch my skin with a steak knife... seriously.. it's called "Cholestasis" and causes the most intense itching because it's coming from Bile Acids building up in your bloodstream... look it up. My friend gave me her bottle of Muscle Relief Lotion and I had INSTANT relief. I don't know what you put in your lotion that causes the cooling sensation, but IT REALLY WORKS! I honestly don't think you know how many people will be adversely effected by your discontinuation of your product. I would not have known about your discontinuation at this time if I hadn't gone to Walmart to buy my friend a replacement bottle only to find your products no longer on their shelves... wanting to replace my friend's bottle for her, I turned to the internet hoping to find it... and here I find this terrible news. I know I can buy some on Amazon at this time... but for how long? When my supply is gone and Amazon no longer has any, then what am I supposed to do? What are the other's complaining on the facebook board that have fibromialgia and find comfort in your lotion supposed to do? What are the others that are finding comfort in your lotion right now but HAVE NO IDEA that the product is being discontinued and think that when their bottle is gone they can just go to Walmart for another bottle only to find none and then at that point the ones on Amazon are all sold out to do? I don't think I've ever been this upset over a products discontinuation... you are encouraging others to try your other products at Walgreens instead, but for me those other products won't work because they don't have the cooling relief. What am I to do now?"

So where can I get some coupons for the other products that you claim are "close" to the Muscle Relief lotion? I highly doubt it will work as well unless it has the same cooling relief as the Muscle Relief lotion.

Have you thought about other ways you can market your Muscle Relief Lotion? What about Chiropractors? Ebay? Whole Foods? Just sticking with Amazon? A LOT of people do their shopping online now... Walmart can't be the only vendor that you can market this lotion through... seriously. In a time where "all natural" products are becoming a way of life for people... and with the OUTCRY on facebook with the discontinuation of your product solely for it's RELIEF that it has given people. How many bottles does "limited quantity" mean?

I know I'm just one customer... but wanted to give you my two cents.

  5. We did get your Facebook post - I believe Jessica responded to you.

To answer your other questions, if you send us an email - marketing@thevillagecompany.com - I would be more than happy to send you a few coupons for Stress Therapy or Sleep Therapy at Walgreens. As a head's up, it is different. It is only similar in the fragrance and the fact that it's a lotion.

We are presenting the Muscle Relief to various customers in hopes that another place will carry it. So far no luck, but we'll certainly keep trying.

The amount available at Amazon was about 6,000 bottles. If they sell through within a couple of months, we'll see there is still demand.

I'll keep everyone updated, but for now, make sure you order some!

  7. I cannot tell you how much I love this lotion for my Lupus and Fibromyalgia, but more than anything I use it for MIGRAINES.....the aroma is absolutely heavenly. Sorry to say, I have done my research and none of ther other products are even close in scent. The are overbearing, perfumey and just not "natural" in odor. They actually give me headaches. I have been using essentional oil blends (heavy on the wintergreen) and even vicks vapor rub to help, but NOTHING compares to this item. I hope I can purchase more and somehow keep it fresh for a long time. I am not sure of the shelf life, but maybe refridgeration would keep it fresh. So sorry and sad.
