We have been a little out of the loop lately - busy developing new products! - but thought wanted to make sure to say Happy Mother's Day to all our of followers!

In honor of the Holiday, here are a few tips to share with the family on how to make the day extra special:

Start off with breakfast in bed! Make a favorite dish and be sure mom gets to sit out with the clean up!
After breakfast, organize a fun family activity such as a walk through the park or visit to the zoo.
Next keep the kids busy with an activity - we suggest printing our Mr. Bubble Mother's Day Card for them to color!

Didn't Win the Race - But Did Win Over Little Hearts

A little over a week ago, October 3rd, I was walking to the State Capitol (MN) grounds on a rainy Saturday. I was going to meet up with Mr. Bubble. As I was approaching the festivities of the Twin Cities Marathon weekend, I realized I didn't know where I was supposed to be going to see him. Ha, I should have realized, it's Mr. Bubble. How many other big, pink, bubbles would be walking around? I could have seen him from a mile away.

The race itself - Harry & Shelly's Mascot Invitational - was very short. And entertaining. Sadly, Mr. Bubble did not win the race.

He did, however, win over the hearts of some little ones.

I am also happy to report that, though he is a bubble, the rain did no harm.

Are your feet sandal-worthy?

There was a great article in today's NY Times about how we, as women, do not take care of our feet. Sure, we paint our nails, but there's a lot more to foot health than painted toes! Personally, I had been a life-long foot torturer; wearing 'too-cute' shoes, stoping at my ankles when moisturizing and slaping on a good coat of polish - thinking everything was great. The truth turned out that my cute shoes were killing my toes, heels and feet. I'd be out shopping and get a severe pain in my arch that nearly paralyzed me and made my friends think I was crazy.

I can still rationalize every 'too-cute' pair of shoes to my husband, but I've gotten smarter about what I do to repair the damage those new Nine West pumps are doing to my poor arches! Since becoming a 'Villager', I've learned about the essentials for feet - Foot Essentials, that is. By soaking my feet for just 10 minutes a few days a week (usually when I'm catching up on TV or reading), my arch pain has lessened. Welcome to The Village Company! This is our first of many posts to keep you in the loop on everything related to The Village Company (TVC) – from new products launching in stores to ideas we’re working on to relevant stories in the news.

A brief introduction… TVC develops and markets bath and body products under the brands: Mr. Bubble®, Village Naturals® Bath Shoppe, Village Naturals® Therapy, Village Naturals® Foot Essentials and Sesame Street®. We’re trying to make the world a better place one bath and shower at a time! TVC is constantly developing new products and working to ensure our current products are the best they can be.
